What will you be doing?

You’ll lead the delivery of a portfolio of complex digital, data and technology projects, ensuring outcomes are delivered to agreed timescales, budgets and quality standards. Working closely with senior stakeholders, project teams and partner organisations, you'll establish and improve delivery frameworks, oversee project performance and ensure robust governance, risk management and reporting processes are in place.

A key part of the role will involve leading and developing a team of delivery specialists, project professionals and technical teams, creating a high-performing delivery culture focused on continuous improvement. You'll champion effective delivery practices, support organisational change and help ensure technology projects successfully transition into operational services that deliver lasting value.

You'll also act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders, helping to prioritise work, manage competing demands and identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency and service improvement. Through strong leadership and collaboration, you'll help shape the future of digital delivery across West Northamptonshire Council.

About you

You’re confident managing competing priorities, navigating complexity and driving teams towards successful outcomes while maintaining a strong focus on quality, value for money and customer experience.

You'll have a strong understanding of project delivery frameworks, service improvement and change management methodologies, together with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation. Most importantly, you'll share our THRIVE values and our ambition to deliver exceptional services through technology, transformation and collaboration
