Data Reconciliation Officer (Section 106)

About the role

These are 12 month fixed term contracts.  West Northamptonshire Council is looking for two dedicated and proactive Data and Finance Reconciliation Officers (primarily analysing Section 106 data) to help drive forward its place-shaping agenda. 

What will you be doing?

In this role, you will be working in an established, motivated and supportive team. The role consists of analysing the legacy Councils’ Section 106 records and delivering a comprehensive data and financial reconciliation. 

You will also be responsible for regularly reviewing and reporting progress of this reconciliation, providing recommendations and actionable solutions. 

This will ultimately result in the vital ability to produce complete, accurate and reliable data that can be shared with all relevant stakeholders and made publicly available.

Interviews will be held via Teams on the afternoon of Thursday 29th and and morning of Friday 30th January 2026.

The attached Job Description is generic and describes a larger role within the team however this recruitment is for this particular reconciliation project.

About you

You will need to be methodical, analytical, resilient, with acute attention to detail and be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written.

Accountancy and/or data analysis experience is essential – please evidence this within your essential criteria written statement.  

Previous knowledge and experience of s106 is desirable and would be a significant advantage, please also evidence this if relevant.
