Day Centre Officer- Adults Care

About the role

Love Care, but not the shifts and weekends?? 

This role requires working of Monday- Friday only!  8-30am until 4-30 pm.

Support, plan and deliver a care package, which has been identified through the assessment needs in order to meet the individuals needs and outcomes. You will be working as part of a Team and using your skills and experience to grow and develop the Team. The role involves you to liaise with families, carers and other professional.  To help to plan, implement and monitor activities, alongside our Care and Support assistants. Part of the role will be supervising care staff on a 1:1 basis.

 

What will you be doing?

The position of Day Centre Officer will be working over 2 sites. The Day Centres are based in Daventry and Towcester. The ability to travel to 2 bases is essential, as day to day you will be based at either site. 

Whilst at Towcester and Daventry you will be supporting the Team leader and a team that consist of 8 Care staff on a 1:1 basis.

As a key worker you are responsible for designated people to monitor and ensure their needs and outcomes are met with the team.

 

About you

You will need experience of working with people that have learning disabilities, physical disabilities and or people with age related conditions. Be able to demonstrate that you have an interest in working in this area and that you have the ability to undertake the role.

Be an effective communicator, encouraging and motivating with good IT skills.

NVQ 2 in care or similar is the minimum qualification required as you must be able to assess new referrals and encage with professionals in formulating a personal profile and implement opportunities to facilitate an outcome-based provision. The successful person requires to be calm, organised and have a sense of fun.
