At West Northamptonshire Council, we’re forming a small, high-impact project team to go beyond traditional MS365 use and unlock the full power of the Power Platform. This is your opportunity to design, develop and deliver solutions that transform how we work—and how we serve our residents.

What will you be doing?

This isn’t business as usual. 

You’ll play a key role in delivering our WIDE (Workforce Innovation & Digital Excellence) initiative—building practical, real-world solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate and integrations. 

  • Develop and deliver solutions that improve productivity and service delivery
  • Automate processes and enhance end-to-end user journeys
  • Build and support systems that drive efficiency across the organisation
  • Rapidly test, learn and iterate to solve real problems
  • Collaborate within a small, agile team to deliver visible outcomes
  • Maintain and continuously improve live systems and digital services
  • Experienced in documenting solutions and complex solutions in a way that enables smooth handover, knowledge transfer, and long-term support capability.

About you

You’re a hands-on developer who loves solving problems and building things that work: 

  • Experience with Power Platform or similar low-code tools, alongside broader development skills (e.g. JavaScript, C#, APIs)
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to choose the right approach
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, iterative environments
  • A team player who can also work independently and take ownership
  • Passion for learning, improving, and tryingnew approaches
  • Able to communicate effectively and support others in the team
  • Experienced in documenting solutions and complex solutions in a way that enables smooth handover, knowledge transfer, and long-term support capability.
