About the role
Public Health Northamptonshire is responsible for a range of public health services that improve health and wellbeing, prevent ill-health, and reduce health inequalities on behalf of the residents of Northamptonshire.
What will you be doing?
We are seeking people with knowledge and understanding of falls prevention to work in a new, innovative Falls Management Service. They will participate in the assessment and support of individuals, under direct supervision from the therapists in the team. The role will involve working directly with individuals in delivering a personalised package of specialist falls prevention support, and will include visiting individuals in their own homes.
The role will also include raising awareness and knowledge of best practice in relation to falls prevention among staff working in health and social care settings.
About you
The ideal candidate will have a high level of understanding of falls prevention interventions, previous experience of working in a rehabilitation environment or with people who have or who are at risk of falling, and excellent inter-personal skills.

The council is in the process of implementing a new pay structure and terms and conditions which will be applicable to this role. The outcome could result in a future variation to the advertised salary, and this will be discussed at interview.
