Family Hub Lead

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

About the role

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children, young people, and families?

Then we would love to hear from you! We have a really exciting opportunity for a Family Hub Lead to join our newly-created Family Hub service, where you will play an integral role in shaping the service across West Northants, and ensuring that children, young people, and families receive the right support at the right time.

The Family Hub service can be accessed by all families in the local community, and will include planned activities such as Rhyme Time, and stay and play sessions, as well as some more targeted services for SEND support. External partners will also operate classes from the Family Hub, for example, breast feeding support.

What will you be doing?

Leading a team of 3 Senior Family Hub Practitioners, you will manage and deliver early help services to improve outcomes for children, while reducing the demand for statutory services, overseeing an integrated Family Hub model within Local Area Partnership areas. You will work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders, building on existing partnerships and developing new service delivery arrangements to ensure a whole-family approach is adopted in assessment, planning, and intervention.

You will be primarily based at One Angel Square, Northampton, but regular travel between Family Hubs in Towcester, Daventry and Northampton will be required, so a driving license and access to transport will be essential to the role.

About you

You don’t need experience across all aspects of the job as that will form part of your development journey, but ideally you will need experience of working with children, young people, and families in a community setting in order to support sustainable change with extensive experience and track record of working and developing similar services.

You’ll need to have a solution driven and adaptable approach to working, thrive in a busy environment with a positive approach to challenges!

Ideally you will have previous experience of working in partnership across the sector with experience of managing and developing a team. You will be able to smoothly manage and implement a new service whilst being able use your own initiative to 'think outside of the box’. You’ll use your great attention to detail to ensure that the team have the resources and support required to carry out their roles.

If you’ve got experience working in a Family hub, that’s great, but not essential; as being adept at building relationships with children, young people, their families and key stakeholders in a similar type environment whilst being able to quickly develop an understanding of the needs of the service and our communities are most important.
