We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our Corporate Finance team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Council’s ambitious corporate plan. This is a high-profile role providing professional financial advice and guidance, whilst supporting key stakeholders across the organisation, with a particular focus on financial and performance reporting, budget setting and medium-term financial planning.

What will you be doing?
- Leading on and working closely with colleagues in the finance business partner teams to understand the in-year financial position and prepare accurate monthly monitoring reports.
- Supporting with the organisation's annual budget setting process and medium term financial plan.
- Turning complex financial data into clear insights that colleagues and senior leaders can use with confidence.
- Identifying risks, spotting trends and helping shape strategies that deliver positive outcomes.
- Support the development of strong financial management and accountability across the organisation.
About you

- Experience in management accounting or business partnering in any sector.
- Strong Excel and modelling skills, with the ability to create practical, flexible tools.
- You enjoy working with people as much as with numbers, and you know how to turn complex financial data into conversations and insights that colleagues can act on
- A proactive, problem-solving approach and the confidence to influence and challenge.
- A passion for using your skills to make a positive impact.
