We are looking for a person who likes to work in a small team as well as learn from and be inspired by an exceptional group of consultants.

We have started a very exciting journey to create resilience in the landscape, in communities and with home owners. This project is aiming to make a big difference for residents who flood in Northamptonshire.

You will be working on an award winning project where trial and innovation leads to delivery, we need an exceptionally organised and self-motivated support officer to complete our team and continue our vison.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the team, engaging with residents and interested groups, delivering with innovation at the centre.
  • Collaborating – with experts from across the flood industry, with IT, emergency planning, communications teams and other Enabler services of West Northamptonshire Council
  • Learning and providing support on a number of IT programs used to deliver the project smoothly
  • Being a proactive thinker, doer and challenger, so that we can do our best work and make a difference.
  • Keeping the project moving and on track
  • Informing stakeholders and with reporting across a number of organisations

About you

  • Natural openness, curiosity, and optimism.
  • Great with people including Parish councils, flood consultants, residents and flood victims.
  • Likes to see their ideas become reality
  • A starter and a finisher, the project needs ideas and delivery
  • Experience in IT
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to deal with a wide range of stakeholders
  • A team-driven approach to delivery 
  • A responsive and adaptable attitude
  • A passion for making a positive impact for individuals and services
