UK Shared Prosperity/Multiply Funding Programme Manager

About the role

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced funding manager to lead and deliver West Northamptonshire Council’s Multiply and UK Shared Prosperity Funding programmes, as set out in West Northamptonshire Investment Plans (IPs).  

This is a high profile, challenging post and will suit someone with a real passion for making things happen. You will be required to work effectively with local public, private and voluntary sector partners, grant recipients and monitor and report progress to a Programme Board and to government.

Funding Manager is a new role within the Economic Development team at WNC, that requires a wide-ranging skills set to contract manage the WNC Multiply and UK Shared Prosperity (UKSPF) Funds which will play a key role in helping to transform West Northamptonshire’s Economy.

As the Funding Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the programmes are delivered to time and to budget, ensuring that any projects commissioned, align to the strategic economic needs of West Northamptonshire and deliver good value for money.

What will you be doing?

  • This role will take ownership of delivering the Council’s UKSPF and Multiply Investment Plans, working with internal and external colleagues.
  • Provide update reports on the progress of delivery for the WNC UKSPF and Multiply Programmes and ensure all targets and milestones are being met.
  • Ensuring the WNC UKSPF and Multiply Programmes are delivering on budget and monitoring and data returns are submitted on time.

About you

  • You’ll have a Management/Project Management Qualification or relevant experience.
  • Be an experienced project manager with budgetary management skills.
  • You’ll have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across a wide and diverse range of stakeholders
  • Be an experienced at interpreting and reporting on management information data and reports

The council is in the process of implementing a new pay structure and terms and conditions which will be applicable to this role.  The outcome could result in a future variation to the advertised salary, and this will be discussed at interview.
