High Needs Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced administrator to join our small team, in a key role. Are you passionate about customer service and business transformation, with good business support experience? If so, you are just the kind of person we need to join the team!

We are the High Needs Business Support Team who provide wide ranging financial and administrative support to schools and the Education Health and Care Team. If we can provide the best possible service, then we will be helping providers to deliver better outcomes for children and young people.

What will you be doing?

The role is varied and includes:

  • Paying invoices
  • Raising invoices
  • Updating Capita One system
  • Processing High Needs Panel applications
  • Providing admin support for the High Needs Panel process
  • Communicating with schools and other professionals
  • Providing information, funding statements to schools
  • Providing financial information to schools
  • Supporting Education Health and Care Officers and Caseworkers
  • Supporting other teams and professionals

About you

Applicants will need previous experience of office administration and be comfortable working in an open plan environment as well as working remotely.  this is a fast-paced, varied role which will suit someone who can work under pressure, meet deadlines, is friendly reliable and flexible.

We are looking for someone who has great organisational skills and has the ability to use their own initiative.  Excellent communication skills are essential. 

You will need:

  • Experience of helping to deliver a complex financial or business process
  • Great customer service skills - we provide a point of contact for service users dealing with funding and process enquiries and queries.
  • Excellent IT skills, in particular using Excel and accurate data input skills.
  • A real ‘eye for detail’, and to be methodical and accurate.
  • To be a great team player who is flexible and enjoys tackling a wide variety of different tasks in an interesting but changeable and fast paced environment.

The council is in the process of implementing a new pay structure and terms and conditions which will be applicable to this role.  The outcome could result in a future variation to the advertised salary, and this will be discussed at interview.
