About the role
Obelisk House provides exceptional levels of support in residential and Dementia care.
It is situated in a residential suburb in Northampton and it offers a wonderful living environment in which our residents can enjoy an enhanced quality of life.
We have teams of friendly and committed staff who provide the highest level of dementia care and residential care.
With our great accommodation and facilities and a programme of activities, our care home evoke a home from home atmosphere in which our residents can feel comfortable, content and very well cared for.
What will you be doing?
As a Housekeeper in our care home, you’ll carry out a range of duties such as cleaning, laundry and other domestic tasks in both communal and resident private rooms/areas of the home. Establish and maintain relationships with residents that are based on respect and equality. Support, assist other staff members in promoting a cheerful, pleasant and homelike environment whilst demonstrating a friendly attitude towards residents.
- Maintain all areas in the home to a high standard of cleanliness, tidiness, and hygiene.
- Including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, polishing, moping, furnishing, crockery, cutlery, kitchen appliances, toilets, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, windows and refuse disposal areas.
- Laundry care.
Experience would be ideal.
37 hours per week: To cover mornings with 1 late night a week to include every other weekend.
About you
This is all in a day’s work…..
You’ll have high standards and will ensure that all work is carried out efficiently and with great attention to detail.
Basic health, safety and hygiene knowledge would be ideal along with previous experience within a cleaning or housekeeping role, although this is not essential.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate, at our cost. It is also a regulated activity and will be subject to a Children and Adults Barred List check.
