About the role
It is an exciting time to join the Housing Delivery Team as the scale, pace, ambition and complexity of the Council’s housing development activity increases to meet our affordable housing need.
This role will support the delivery of a varied programme of housing schemes, contributing to projects from early feasibility through to completion. Working within a busy team, you will help coordinate activities, maintain governance and reporting processes, and support effective stakeholder engagement. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering much needed high-quality affordable homes for our communities.
What will you be doing?
In this role you will support the Principal Regeneration Officer and Regeneration Officer for Housing Delivery in ensuring projects are delivered on time and to budget.
You will support the team by:
- Providing project coordination and support across a range of housing schemes
- Assisting with project planning, monitoring, and performance reporting
- Maintaining accurate project documentation in line with governance and organisational frameworks and policies
- Supporting the preparation of business cases, reports and programme updates
- Organising and supporting project boards, meetings and stakeholder engagement activities
- Supporting procurement activity, funding processes and budget monitoring
The role will be varied and interesting, with plenty of opportunity to develop professionally whilst supporting the Council’s housing delivery ambitions.
About you
We are seeking an organised and motivated Project Coordinator to join our Housing Delivery Team who will support development projects from inception to completion.
You will ideally have experience working in a project support or coordination role, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail. You will be confident communicating with a range of stakeholders and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
An interest in housing, regeneration or public sector delivery, alongside a proactive and solutions-focused mindset, will help you succeed in this role.
