About the role
We are in the process of forming our new Learning and Development Service after bringing it back ‘in-house’. As such we have a new opportunity for a technology focussed Learning and Development Advisor to join our new but perfectly formed Learning and Development Team, part of the HR team at West Northants Council.
What will you be doing?
You will design, procure and also deliver face to face and online learning programmes across our workforce (c.2700 employees) for our technology and applications covering Microsoft Office and MS Teams as well as Finance, HR and Social Care systems.
You will also design course materials, user guides, manuals and exercises to aid learning, and provide professional advice and expertise to services on innovative leaning and development solutions, to increase understanding of technology and applications.
You will also maintain and promote the courses via both our intranet and LMS and contribute to innovative ideas to develop training solutions that improve user adoption of existing as well as new technology.
About you
As an experienced IT Trainer with strong people and technology skills, you will have excellent knowledge of a range of IT Systems with core skills in Office 365. You will be proactive and passionate about improvement and generating creative solutions. You will also have the knowledge and ability to self-teach and pick up systems quickly and apply that knowledge to pass on training as required.
If this sounds like you, and you are excited by the idea of playing a part in shaping our new service, we want to hear from you.
The role is a combination of remote and office based working. Our main offices are Northampton, Towcester and Daventry.
