About the role
We are a relatively new Council (not yet 3 years’ old) and as such are looking for talented individuals to join our recently created Learning and Development team, to support the development needs of our workforce to ultimately provide the best quality services for our residents.
You will support the effective and efficient implementation of our people strategy through the design and delivery of Organisational Development & Learning initiatives.
We are passionate about investing in our workforce and offer the opportunity to study for CIPD qualifications via our apprenticeship routes.
What will you be doing?
Day to day, you’ll be designing, developing and delivering a range of targeted Learning and Development interventions. You’ll provide trusted advice and guidance to managers and employees on targeted Learning and Development change approaches. Your expertise will enable you to contribute to the development of our people, on an individual, service and organisational wide level.
You’ll be working alongside the wider HR team to ensure that a cohesive HR solution is delivered to the business and analysing the wider HR and Learning and Development data to support targeted L&D and Change initiatives, ensuring that the training solutions you develop are aligned to the delivery of our People Strategy.
About you
You don’t need experience across all aspects of the job as that will form part of your development journey, but you will need a strong background in the design, development and delivery of learning programmes. You should also be able to deliver in both face-to-face and virtual classrooms, as these are both essential to the role.
You should be professionally curious and able to identify creative and interesting ways to develop our staff across a wide range of services. You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills to support learners at all levels of the organisation.
You will need to be flexible and able to adapt your work to changing business needs, and you should have strong organisation skills and comfortable working in a busy office environment as part of a wider HR team.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
