As Payments Team Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our Integrated Commissioning service, leading a high-performing team to deliver accurate, timely, and efficient payments across Education and Social Care. You’ll shape service delivery, drive continuous improvement, and ensure our systems and processes meet the needs of our clients and partners.
This is more than a management role—it’s a chance to transform services, empower teams, and influence strategic outcomes across the People Directorate.
What will you be doing?
What You’ll Do
- Lead and inspire a team of up to 3 Team Leaders and their teams.
- Ensure seamless, tech-enabled payment processes are managed accurately and timely.
- Drive service planning, performance reporting, and budget management.
- Collaborate across departments and with strategic partners to deliver impactful projects.
- Champion equality, safety, and excellence in everything you do.
About you
Who We’re Looking For
A confident, forward-thinking leader with:
- Proven experience in managing payment or finance teams.
- Proven experience of using tech-enabled payment systems
- Proven experience in managing people and teams.
- A strategic mindset and a passion for service excellence.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A commitment to innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
