About the role

We are very excited to be recruiting for a full time position and a part time position to join us on the Payroll Services Helpdesk where every day is different. 

This role reports to the Helpdesk Team Leader and the overall purpose is to maximise resolution of enquiries from customers at first point of contact

What will you be doing?

The Payroll Services Officer is the first point of contact for multiple clients with enquiries related to service areas such as: HR Advisory. Recruitment Services, DBS and Systems knowledge, General Payroll, Maternity, HMRC, Sickness, Pensions and more!

You will provide an effective, customer focused support service through telephone, email and other service systems to users of the West Northamptonshire Council, North Northamptonshire Council, Northamptonshire Children's Trust, Cambridgeshire County Council and Milton Keynes Council Payroll services.

You will provide a range of high-quality Customer Service support, delivering excellent customer service by giving the customer the best possible experience either over the phone or through emails. Providing accurate information and support in response to customers enquires according to agreed procedures, practices, and regulatory and legislative requirements.

You will ensure integrated approach to Payroll Services for the WNC through assisting with the implementation of new technologies, methodologies and processes that meet the needs of clients, customers, and client organisation.

About you

If you enjoy working in a fast pace team and working with a wide range of clients you can build relationships, and you have excellent telephone customer service experience, you’ll fit right in.
