Pensions Support Clerk

About the role

The Pensions Service are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our administrative team as a pensions support clerk. You need to be performance focused and driven to provide excellent customer service. You demonstrate a flexible approach to delivering all aspects of pension administration. 

We are a welcoming team who continually support each other in achieving both personal and departmental goals.

What will you be doing?

The Pension Support Clerk role sits within the projects and systems team and is responsible for administration tasks including allocation of emails to other teams, answering telephone queries, allocation of post, responding to basic queries via email, dealing with members self service queries, updating member records and processing refund of contributions. This Customer facing role is critical to ensure casework is either dealt with immediately at the point of contact or is efficiently allocated and dealt with. 

About you

Experience of working in a similar environment, where you have shown the ability to be calm under pressure and make timely decisions, would be an advantage. We will provide full and comprehensive training to give you the skills and confidence you need to complete the role. The successful candidates will have excellent attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively through all available channels, to both members and colleagues alike.
