About the role
The Growth Hub offers free business advice and guidance across the South Midlands, including Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes, and Northamptonshire. We are a dynamic, multipurpose hub dedicated to supporting businesses of all sizes, industries, and stages of development.
With a community of around 80,000 businesses in the region, we simplify access to advice and support by providing a single, impartial entry point. Our comprehensive programme delivery includes:
- 1-1 Business Support with Business Advisers
- Partnership and Stakeholder management
- Events and Webinars
- Resource Library (guidance, toolkits, and training resources)
- Local Projects (decarbonisation, women in business, hour with an expert, high growth)
We are seeking a dedicated individual to support the delivery of our programmes including:
- Core business support and delivery including supporting 1-1 business support sessions and advice
- Project delivery, including data management and output monitoring for additional support projects and targeted business support.
- Event programme support ranging from webinars, in person events and conferences, led by the Growth Hub or partners.
- Stakeholder engagement with key delivery partners in the region including local authorities, support providers, education providers, and more.
- Communications support for the whole business support offer.
- CRM and data management of key data report.
What will you be doing?
Working alongside Growth Hub colleagues, you’ll act as a key delivery officer in respect of activities related to the Growth Hub business support activity in the South Midlands region. Responsibilities include:
- Programme and Project Support: Assist with the delivery of various projects and programmes, ensuring compliance with funding guidelines and maintaining accurate records, and direct business engagement.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative duties such as meeting and board secretariat, raising purchase orders and invoices, procurement support
- Marketing and programme promotional work for various projects
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with external delivery partners, subcontractors, and government departments.
- CRM Management: Oversee the daily operations of the CRM system, ensuring its functionality and reliability.
- Reporting: Prepare data and narrative reports for internal and external audiences including complex data sets and data interrogation.
- Event Support: Assist with the administration of events, including preparation, on the day, and post event. booking venues, registering delegates, and planning agendas.
About you
We’re looking for someone with a keen eye for detail that takes pride in their work and has proven experience and skills in project support, developing effective internal & external relationships and innovative processes to deliver successful outputs.
You will be passionate about working innovatively to achieve tangible outcomes, combining creativity with finely honed project management skills to ensure compliancy and accuracy in all that you do.
Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills are key. We are also looking for significant experience of administration including report writing, minute taking & effectively keeping records to achieve a consistently high performance. You’ll thrive when working collaboratively and be a team player through and through.
You’ll need to have a solutions driven and adaptable approach to working, thrive in a busy environment with a positive approach to challenges!
Ideally you will have previous experience of supporting projects, with processes for administering and supporting programmes. You will be able to work across a variety of projects and activities, being able to use your own initiative to 'think outside of the box’. You’ll use your great attention to detail to ensure our activities are innovative, creative and achieve high level results.
Finally, your knowledge of delivering previous projects and programmes will be utilised as part of the wider service, enabling you to have a diverse experience and work collaboratively across the full service.
