Public Health Practitioner - Mental Health/Health Inequalities

What will you be doing?

The Practitioner will work within the People and Wellbeing portfolio to provide support to senior colleagues to address Mental Health issues and to oversee a budget specifically aligned to Health Inequalities projects. The role will include development and execution of action plans and collaboration with partners to design and implement Public Health led initiatives.

About you

Applicants should be experienced within Public Health or Mental Health settings with a good working knowledge of wider public health practices.  Ideally, you will have a flexible and adaptable approach, able to work to tight timescales and the ability to work on concurrent workstreams.  You will be an excellent team player, but also with the ability to work independently and have sensitivity to the subject area you will be working in.

Indicative interview date will be w/c 20th March.

The council is in the process of implementing a new pay structure and terms and conditions which will be applicable to this role.  The outcome could result in a future variation to the advertised salary, and this will be discussed at interview.
