About the role
This is an exciting time to join our resourcing team! We’re a new local authority, created in April 2021, and resourcing is a key part of our People Strategy. We’re at the beginning of our journey of shaping what recruitment looks like at West Northants Council, so there is plenty of opportunity to contribute innovative ideas, develop processes and shape our offering so we can provide the best possible service to our colleagues in our Adults, Communities and Wellbeing directorate.
What will you be doing?
Working alongside the Resourcing Lead, you’ll support with a variety of recruitment activities to promote West Northamptonshire Council as the social care employer of choice within Northamptonshire, and in doing so attract individuals wanting to work in the sector to become new and successful employees, enhancing the service provided to customers. The Resourcing Advisor also supports our hiring managers with the recruitment process administratively, enabling it to be as efficient as possible thereby facilitating a great candidate experience.
About you
You don’t need experience across all aspects of the job as that will form part of your development journey, but you will need experience of the core recruitment coordination and process management experience, as this is the central to the role. You’ll need to have a solutions driven and adaptable approach to working, thrive in a busy environment with a positive approach to challenges!
Ideally you will have previous experience of working within an in-house recruitment team or an agency background, with experience of supporting recruitment of volume roles. You will be able to smoothly manage recruitment processes whilst being able use your own initiative to 'think outside of the box’. You’ll use your great attention to detail to ensure candidates receive the right information at the right time and everything recruitment related is up to date and correct.
If you’ve got experience within Adult Social Care, that’s great, but not essential; being adept at building relationships with key hiring managers and quickly developing an understanding of service areas, are most important.
