About the role

Longlands Care home provides exceptional levels of support in nursing, residential and Dementia care.

It is situated in Daventry and it offers a wonderful living environment in which our residents can enjoy an enhanced quality of life.

We have teams of friendly and committed staff who provide the highest level of dementia care and residential care.

What will you be doing?

You or your team aren’t required to work late nights, and have every other weekend off.

Working within a small team, managing the day to day preparation and cooking of meals for the elderly residents to include modified textured diets. Ensuring that health & safety standards are met in the kitchen.

You’ll liaise with the Care Team to ensure meals meet residents medical requirements, ensuring that such meals are prepared using the appropriate methods and in the correct environment.

  • Day to day instruction for the preparation and cooking of meals for the elderly residents within a small team.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that health & safety standards are met in the kitchen.
  • Manage modified textured diets.

 

37hrs per week with alternate weekends. 

Covering breakfast starting at 7.30am or/and Lunch/ Evening meal, hours are open to discussion.

About you

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a catering environment.
  • Food hygiene certificate.
  • Work within health & safety guidelines.
  • A good understanding of numeracy and literacy.
  • Experience of managing a Kitchen would be ideal.
