About the role
We are looking for a proactive and organised individual to support the delivery of waste services across West Northamptonshire.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring services are delivered to the required standards and in line with the Council’s statutory duties.
What will you be doing?
You will monitor day-to-day service delivery and work closely with the waste management team to provide both operational and administrative support. This will include liaising with residents to ensure the correct provision of waste containers and services, arranging container removals, and making adjustments to services where required in line with policy.
A key part of the role involves planning and carrying out site visits across the area to gather information, help resolve service issues, and contribute to informed decision-making. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and detailed records of inspections, as well as identifying any concerns that may require further investigation.
Additionally, you will visit commercial properties to promote compliance with relevant waste legislation and provide support to the Business Waste Officer.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in the field, engaging with the public, and making a tangible impact on local environmental services.
