West Northants Council is looking for a Brokerage & Payments Manager for Adults placements. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an established high performing commissioning division with an outstanding reputation for leading the way in Commissioning.

This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in joining the Brokerage and Payments team to learn if they wish to further their career with West Northants Council. This fixed term post is due to the permanent post holder taking up an internal secondment.

 

This post is responsible for the integrated Brokerage Teams and the Payments Team which works across multiple systems, supporting external and internal organisations and service areas.  The role will be expected to continue the development of both functions working with the team to ensure timely sourcing of packages and payment to external partners is completed successfully.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that efficient, accurate and timely end to end processes are in place, including the use of appropriate technologies to streamline and automate the process.

The Brokerage and Payments team are pivotal to us in delivering the right outcomes for people.

You will lead the teams whose primary function is to source care and support for people, residing either in the community or being discharged from a health setting, for support in their home, their community or in commissioned bedded service; ensuring a seamless transition that is person focussed and best-value irrespective of funding stream.

Your instinct for collaboration and commitment to high quality care and support services for our residents will ensure that we achieve positive outcomes for individuals.

The successful candidate will:

Be line managed by the Service Manager for Provider support and Integrated Health Teams

Be part of a creative forward-thinking management team

Have lead responsibility for all elements of brokerage and payments, line managing four Team Leader supporting a team of 24 in total.

Work closely with Adult Social Care, Health, and Contract management colleagues

Lead on all associated business plans and manage delivery

About you

About you, the successful candidate will:

Be a highly motivated and innovative broker and payments experience with a proven track record of delivery.

Have a pro-active approach.

Have proven ability to manage a diverse team and drive performance through people

Have the ability to ensure the best quality and range of services are brokered to meet the diverse needs of our adults population.

Have strong commercial awareness and ability to manage and deliver change within a fast-moving environment.

Be able to demonstrate drive and determination to ensure our vision, aims and business objectives are comprehensively delivered on time, to budget, offering value for money services that do not compromise on quality or achievement of identified outcomes.
