Commissioning Support Officer (Supplementary substance misuse & Treatment)

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity, to work across the Public Health service supporting a range of functions relating to improving health outcomes across the local population.  We are looking for Commissioning Support Officer (Supplementary substance misuse & Treatment) to work within the team dedicated to Drug and Alcohol Services. This post will be based in West Northants Council, but you will be expected to work across both West and North Council’s to provide a Countywide offer in relation to substance misuse.

What will you be doing?

The role includes monitoring, reporting and matrix management of services. This is a fast-paced environment, within the local authority. You will be in regular contact with third sector providers, other areas of the public sector and government departments including the Office for Health Improvement & Disparities and the Department for Levelling Up, Communities & Housing.

About you

You will need to be able to work under pressure and be extremely well organised, taking a pro-active approach to your workload. We’ll need you to have a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service, project work and be able to ensure work is carried out to a high standard within agreed KPIs. With highly developed interpersonal skills you will be confident in developing and delivery communications to a variety of stakeholders. You’ll be competent in Microsoft packages and data analysis as well.

The role will require someone who can think creatively and develop innovative ways of delivering grant funded drug, alcohol, and housing related support services. If this sounds like the opportunity for you, would love to hear from you.

The council is in the process of implementing a new pay structure and terms and conditions which will be applicable to this role.  The outcome could result in a future variation to the advertised salary, and this will be discussed at interview.
