Public Health Practitioner

About the role

This is an exciting 18 month fixed term opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference to the lives of children and young people in West Northamptonshire.

We are looking for someone to join our team and work with the Public Health consultant and principal to lead the children and young people agenda including the early years and maternity, healthy child programme and wider children and young people local services across West Northamptonshire.

What will you be doing?

You will be working with a dedicated, motivated and ambitious Public health and wider Council team with a focus on the children and young people agenda.

You will be responsible for the design and delivery of public health services for children and young people. You will also take the lead on wider public health developments for children and young people.

About you

We are looking for someone with experience of implementing health improvement programmes for children and young people. Ideally you will have experience of child and family services. You will have excellent communication skills and an ability to work with a wide range of agencies.
