Scheduler Administrator (Reablement West)

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

About the role

The purpose of the job is to provide confidential administrative support to managers, using appropriate systems, procedures and resources at Reablement West office base, in Ecton Brook.

This role ensures that a quality service is delivered to our customers, WNC policies and values are complied with and reporting deadlines are met.

Reablement West provides exceptional levels of Reablement support across West Northants in people’s own homes (the customer) . We work to provide a fast, responsive service to individuals, who without immediate support, will be at risk of either being admitted to an acute hospital or care home or will be unnecessarily delayed from returning home. Our friendly and committed staff provide the highest level of Reablement support to vulnerable adults in West Northants.

We apply strength-based ways of working to enable people to regain their independence whilst assessing risks associated, which will include arranging equipment, connecting people to community resources and support, and increasing people’s skills and confidence.

Our approach:

  • Focuses on a person’s strengths to promote and maximise independence and wellbeing.
  • Rebuilds confidence after a spell of illness, deterioration in health, an injury, a hospital admission, or an acquired disability.
  • Is different to traditional home care as it involves care providers standing back and encouraging the promotion of self-care skills that may have been lost.
  • Supports people to regain or retain skills to enable them to manage with minimal or no support.
  • Short-term and intensive.
  • About setting and working toward meaningful goals.
  • Aims to reconnect people with their communities to reduce social isolation.
  • Can help to reduce the amount of care the person needs from carers and family.
  • Reablement has a multi-disciplinary approach which means the teams work with one another to ensure your plan is person centred.

What will you be doing?

  • Delivering exceptional support, to include reception duties whilst responding to telephone and face to face enquiries.  Dealing with callers and visitors in a proactive manner in accordance with the Company’s customer service standards whilst building good working relationships with internal and external managers, colleagues and customers and their carers
  • Offering guidance and assistance to colleagues with administrative tasks, use of IT equipment and the application of associated WNC processes.
  • Assisting in the co-ordination and booking of people’s discharge from hospital and maintaining their visit plans whilst they are receiving their Reablement service. To include allocation of work to staff.
  • Attending and participate in staff meetings, team activities, supervision, appraisals and training.
  • Responsible for maintaining and developing electronic and paper record systems to ensure that the business is adequately supported. This will require a confident, accurate and timely approach to using MS Word, MS Excel and other software as appropriate.
  • You play an important part in ensuring that the customer, staff and performance data held on the Company’s management information system is always up to date, in particular staff rostering.

At all times you must demonstrate an awareness and understanding of the procedures, policies and legal requirements relating to the work that you do. This includes equality and diversity, data protection and financial regulations. You must also ensure that reasonable care is taken at all times for the health, safety and welfare of yourself and other persons.

The role requires the ability to work flexible hours, over 36 hours per week, to include alternate weekend working. Shifts variable between 7-9am start.
