Community Care Assistant (Eleanor Lodge)

About the role

At Eleanor Lodge, we support adults aged 18+ with learning disabilities and mental health needs to live fulfilling and independent lives. Based in Delapre, Northampton, we provide both residential support and care within people's own homes across the local community.

We're proud of our friendly and committed teams who deliver high-quality, person-centred support every day. Whether supporting someone at home, helping them access their community, or enabling them to achieve their goals, our work has a real impact on people's lives.

What will you be doing?

We're looking for caring individuals who are passionate about making a difference.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll support adults within their own homes and local community, promoting independence, choice and wellbeing. You'll assist with personal care, medication, meal preparation and day-to-day activities, while also supporting individuals to attend appointments, access social activities and manage aspects of daily living.

Working as part of a supportive team, you'll build positive relationships with the people you support and help them achieve the outcomes that matter most to them.

Working Pattern: 37 hours per week on average, worked across a two-week rota pattern. Week 1 consists of 30 hours, and Week 2 consists of 44 hours, including alternate weekend working. A mixture of early and late shifts is required, typically 7am to 3pm and 3pm to 10pm, on a planned rota basis.

About you

You may already have experience in care, support work or another people-focused role, but most importantly you'll bring kindness, patience and a positive attitude. You'll be confident working independently, while also being a supportive member of the wider team.

A Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care would be beneficial, although we will support the successful candidate to achieve this qualification if required.

A driving licence and access to a vehicle is required, due to the community-based nature of the role.

Why Join Us?

  • Full training and induction provided
  • Supportive and friendly team environment
  • Opportunity to achieve or further develop Health & Social Care qualifications
  • Meaningful and rewarding work supporting local people
  • Career development opportunities within Adult Social Care
